Is COREtec easy to install?

It’s simple tongue and groove system makes it easy to install, and the attached cork underlayment means there is no need to mess around with underlayers. If you know how to prepare the subfloor, installing COREtec plus on top should be easy and affordable.

Can COREtec be installed on walls?

You can use your leftover COREtec waterproof flooring planks, a visually appealing, texturally engaging medium, to accent the wall in any room in your house.

Can you put COREtec under cabinets?

Use of an in-floor temperature sensor is recommended to avoid overheating. COREtec is engineered to be installed utilizing the floating method. Do not install cabinets or fixed objects on top of the COREtec. Proper expansion space is required.

Do I need underlayment with COREtec?

COREtec flooring can be installed over most existing hard–surface floor coverings, provided that the existing floor surface is clean, flat, dry and structurally sound. Existing sheet vinyl floors should not be heavily cushioned. Soft underlayment and soft substrates will diminish the product’s inherent strength.

Do you have to use Coretec XL planks?

With COREtec’s XL line, you don’t need to! The makers of COREtec weren’t kidding when they named this line Extra Large, because that’s exactly what they are! These over-sized planks give you way more of the actual floor to look at, instead of a bunch of seams.

What kind of Polish should I use on my Coretec floor?

You can polish your CoreTec floor using at least two coats of a floor polishing product. The surface of CoreTec flooring will eventually lose its shine in areas that see a lot of foot traffic. Other parts of the room may remain shiny, but you should use polish on the entire room so that it has a uniform color and shine.
