Where do I enter the Highline?
Access to the High Line is possible via any of the access points listed below:
- Gansevoort Street and Washington Street (elevator access)
- 14th Street (elevator access)
- 16th Street (elevator access)
- 17th Street (temporary access)
- 18th Street (under construction)
- 20th Street.
- 23rd Street (elevator access)
- 26th Street.

Does the High Line have bathrooms?
I only know of one restroom on The High Line and its at the 16th street entrance/exit. There is usually a line. The other listed bathrooms may actually be on the streets below The High Line. You might be right about them being down below on the streets.
Is the High Line safe at night?
There is nothing to do on the High Line at night except look at views. It,s a park and at some times of year, it isn,t even open that late. Depending on the time of the year you are visiting, the High Line closes anytime from 7PM (winter) and on other times of the year 10:00/11:00 depending on the month.
Is there a starting point for the High Line?
There is no starting point to the High Line. You can enter the High Line from multiple access points, so the start of the High Line is wherever you choose to enter! Think of the High Line like a bookshelf with a bookend on either side.
