I’ve plastered over gardz no problem. If your worried about doing it pva and when sticky skim. Might take 15mins or more to go sticky. I’ve done that too a few times.

It is a very good product and yes you can paint it over emulsion paint and you can then paint over it with with another coat of paint.

Yes, you can use Zinsser Cover Stain as a stabiliser, but most of the time there are better alternatives. For plaster you may be better looking at Zinsser Gardz or PVA, for masonry you may be better going for an exterior stabilising solution designed for the task. The list goes on.

How do you use gardz problem surface sealer?

Apply GARDZ liberally to the entire surface using a brush, medium nap roller or sprayer, to ensure good penetration. Do not over apply or the coating will sag. GARDZ appears milky blue-white during the application but dries water clear. Properly sealed surfaces should have a uniform sheen.
