How to reverse engineer an air recirculation door?

On to stage two……reverse engineering. I moved the recirculation motor over to the other side of the housing. On that side there is another opening like the one on the left…….and it wasn’t stripped out. I had to make a bracket, cause there’s no way to mount the motor on that side.
