How many coats of Drylok should I do?
A minimum of 2 coats is required for the fully transferable warranty to apply. Now, inspect the surface for any remaining pinholes and fill them in. If it still leaks, a random pore or pinhole is still open.
Is Drylok bad for basement walls?
DO NOT PAINT YOUR WALLS, even with Drylok or waterproofing paint. Also, do not attach insulation directly to the foundation walls. It behaves as a moisture trap and can also hide structural problems and cracks in the foundation. Bottom line: basement walls need to breathe too.
How many sq ft does a 5 gallon bucket of Drylok cover?
Sizes: quart, gallon, 5 gallon. Coverage: 75-100 square feet per gallon. No pre-mixing or pre-wetting.
Does Drylok need 2 coats?
Two coats of DRYLOK® Original Basement & Masonry Waterproofer are required to assure warranted waterproofing.
Can you apply DRYLOK with a sprayer?
Latex Base DRYLOK® Masonry Waterproofer can be applied by spraying to exterior and interior masonry structures, providing certain precautions are followed. The key to obtaining satisfactory waterproofing is to be sure a continuous film of waterproofer is applied.
Will Drylok kill mold?
While Drylok is designed to prevent water from penetrating through foundation walls, it will not remove existing mold or mildew. Simply ignoring the problem and painting straight over it is not recommended as it can only prevent further fungus from growing.
Can I put DRYLOK over old DRYLOK?
DRYLOK is not warranted when used over previously painted surfaces or on horizontal surfaces. DRYLOK EXTREME may be applied over surface previously painted with Latex Base DRYLOK Masonry Waterproofer or Oil Base DRYLOK Masonry Waterproofer.
Can you apply DRYLOK over old DRYLOK?
Yes and no. DRYLOK® may be used over any other cementitious-type waterproofing paint in good, repaintable condition, either inside or outside. DRYLOK® Latex Concrete Floor Paint and DRYLOK® E1 1-Part Epoxy Floor Paint can be applied over previously painted surfaces.
How many square feet does a drylok cover?
A. Both DRYLOK ® Original Masonry Waterproofer and DRYLOK ® Extreme Masonry Waterproofer cover 75-100 square feet per gallon, and DRYLOK ® Floor & Wall Masonry Waterproofer covers 90-100 square feet per gallon, depending on the porosity of the surface.
How long does it take UGL drylok to dry?

Can a drylok extreme be used on a floor?
A. DRYLOK® Extreme and DRYLOK® Latex Base Masonry Waterproofers are not formulated for floors. You can use DRYLOK® Clear Masonry Waterproofer on floors and walls. It holds up to foot traffic as a finished coat and can be used before applying floor paint, or latex-based adhesives.
How long is drylok original masonry waterproofer good for?
A. When applied according to directions, DRYLOK® Original Masonry Waterproofer is warranted for 10 years, DRYLOK® Extreme Masonry Waterproofer is warranted for 15 years, and DRYLOK® Floor & Wall Masonry Waterproofer is warranted for 7 years. In many instances, these products will provide many additional years of satisfactory performance.
