Is Turtle Back Zoo good?
Great zoo for family and kids. We have been going to this zoo for the past 2 years and my kids 10 and 3 enjoy it. Train ride is fantastic and within 2 hours you can see a variety of animals and complete petting and drive back home.

There’s some very nice enclosures for the animals here in quite a few animals to see. Though some of the main animals like hippos rhinos and elephants are not to be found at the zoo. Nice walkways and nice shade coverings. Most of the animals seem to be very happy and they do have some decent sized enclosures.

Do you need timed tickets for Turtle Back Zoo?
During covid, you need timed tickets and they sell out on weekends so plan ahead. You must wear a mask even outside. They take your temperature upon entry. The place is very clean and family-friendly. There is a playground but due to covid we did not allow the kids to go there, but other families did.
