What are the little red dots on leaves?
Although the raised red bumps look like a serious problem, they are actually harmless excessive plant tissue growths called galls. Galls are the tree’s reaction to tiny mites. The mite bites or lays eggs on a leaf and the tree responds by increasing its leaf tissue, thereby enclosing the mite and eggs.
