I do not believe so as it is not a sanitizer and doesn’t add FC, it is an oxidizer usually used to activate a bromine pool, or eliminate high CC’s. It is MPS (monopersulfate) and is generally not needed in an outdoor pool. I do know for a fact that there is zero CYA in liquid chlorine (aka bleach).
How long does it take for clear aid to work?

Why does Leslie’s Fresh n Clear smell like Bleach?
Go pick up a bag at the grocery store. It’s an oxidizer, same as bleach, or cal-hypo, or trichlor. My gut feeling is that because it’s not Chlorine-based, and therefore doesn’t form Combined Chloramines — public pool smell — that’s why Leslie’s pushes it. So your pool can be inadequately treated but you won’t smell that “bleach smell.
