Where do you apply evamist?
To use Evamist topical spray:
- Apply the Evamist spray to the skin on the inside of your forearm, just below the elbow.
- You will need to prime the Evamist pump before using it for the first time.
- Place the cone of the spray applicator directly to your skin and hold the pump upright.
What is an evamist?
Evamist is an estradiol transdermal spray. One spray consists of 90 mcL that contains 1.53 mg of estradiol. Evamist (NDC 64011-215-41) is supplied as a homogeneous solution of estradiol USP, octisalate USP and alcohol USP.
How long does evamist last?
The product will last approximately 56 days if you use 1 spray each day, 28 days if you use 2 sprays each day, and 18 days if you use 3 sprays each day. Do not use this applicator for more than 56 sprays even though the bottle may not be completely empty.
Can evamist cause blood clots?
Using estradiol can increase your risk of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack. You are even more at risk if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, if you are overweight, or if you smoke. Estradiol topical should not be used to prevent heart disease, stroke, or dementia.
What hormone is in evamist?
It has been shown to reduce both the severity and frequency of hot flashes. Evamist® (estradiol transdermal spray) contains 17β-estradiol, an estrogen hormone chemically synthesized from a plant source. Evamist is the only estrogen therapy spray approved by the FDA.
Is evamist back on the market?
No. There is currently no therapeutically equivalent version of Evamist available in the United States. Note: Fraudulent online pharmacies may attempt to sell an illegal generic version of Evamist. These medications may be counterfeit and potentially unsafe.
Is Premarin an estrogen?
Premarin (conjugated estrogens) is a female hormone used to treat symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, and vaginal dryness, burning, and irritation.
What are the side effects of progesterone?
Progesterone may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

- vomiting.
- diarrhea.
- constipation.
- tiredness.
- muscle, joint, or bone pain.
What happens when you stop taking Premarin?
Once you stop taking estrogen, you may develop brittle bones. However, lifestyle, dietary and nonhormonal medications can be very effective in preventing bone loss and osteoporosis. Women who stop taking HRT may have a lower risk of developing breast cancer.
What are the benefits of taking Premarin?
Premarin is used to treat menopause symptoms such as hot flashes and vaginal changes, and to prevent osteoporosis (bone loss) in menopausal women. Premarin is also used to replace estrogen in women with ovarian failure or other conditions that cause a lack of natural estrogen in the body.
