Can Herculiner be removed?
Unlike conventional bed liners that are slipped into place, Herculiner is a spray-on application (similar to Line-X and Rhino Liner). There are several different ways to remove Herculiner, from peeling or grinding it off by hand to using chemicals like brake fluid, paint thinner or mineral spirits.
How do you clean Herculiner?
If skin contact occurs, wipe clean with Xylene (Xylol) before HERCULINER dries. Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. If HERCULINER is allowed to dry on hands, soak in warm soapy water for 10-15 minutes, gently scrubbing affected area.
Is Herculiner toxic?

Can Herculiner be painted over?
We do not recommend painting over the Herculiner as the paint will most likely crack, spiderweb and start to peel off. Also, the surface will no longer be a slip resistant surface. If you want a smoother surface, you may strain some of the rubber granules out of the Herculiner.
Is Herculiner flammable?

What happens when you open a can of herculiner?
The can of Herculiner itself is made of a soft, pliable metal, which makes opening the can quite a procedure. So go slowly and be careful not to damage the lid. Herculiner does have a tendency to fade to gray with prolonged exposure to sunlight.
What kind of brush do you use to apply herculiner?
Roll gently to extend the life of the roller cover. To avoid “mud cracking,’’ do not apply HERCULINER too thickly. Pour only Xylene (Xylol)thinner/cleaner over rollers between coats so rollers will not dry out. BRUSH APPLICATION HERCULINER can be applied with a soft paint brush in two coats at right angles to one another.
When is the best time to apply herculiner?
HERCULINER can be applied between 32˚F and 95˚F. Before applying HERCULINER,it is important that the surface to be coated is completely clean. (See surface preparation). Mask all areas not to be coated. Remove masking tape immediately after application of second coat. IMPORTANT! HERCULINER contains flammable solvents.
