What do you need to apply to BMCC?
Complete all admission requirements:
- Claim your CUNY First account.
- Submit immunization record to the Health Services Office.
- Submit a copy of high school diploma to the Admissions Office.
- Provide proof of New York City residency to the Registrar’s Office.
- Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.
Is BMCC still accepting applications?
However, BMCC does accept late CUNY Applications and also usually hosts Direct Admissions on-site after the CUNY Application is no longer available. For more information about BMCC-specific deadlines, please visit our Apply Now page.
How long does it take to get accepted into BMCC?
Priority Deadline applicants: Decisions for spring semesters are sent beginning November 1. Other applicants: Freshman applicants can expect to get an admission decision two to three weeks after your transcripts are received by BMCC.

How many credits do you need to graduate BMCC?

Graduation Requirements Earn at least a 2.0 GPA. Complete at least 30 credits in residence if you are an advanced standing or second-degree student. Pass a Writing Intensive Course** beyond ENG 201 in order to graduate.

Do you need to complete an admission application for BMCC?
You don’t need to complete an admissions application. Instead, you may be eligible to apply for readmission with the BMCC Registrar’s Office to continue your BMCC education. Does a Non-Degree student have to fill out an application every semester? No. The system automatically activates you for the next semester.
