ADVICE ON ESSAY WRITING

An essay is a prose work of little volume, and free composition, which expresses individual impressions and considerations on a specific occasion or question and does not pretends to be a defining or exhaustive interpretation of the subject.

The essay’s willingness is to develop such skills as independent creative thinking and a written statement of one’s thoughts. Essay writing is extremely beneficial because it allows the case study writer to learn clearly and competently formulate thoughts, structure information, use basic concepts, distinguish cause-and-effect relationships, and illustrate the experience with relevant examples to argue their conclusions.

Recommended essay structure and plan

The structure of the essay is defined by the proposed requirements for it:

– the thoughts of the author on the problem are presented in the form of short theses;

– the opinion must be supported by evidence, so the thesis is followed by arguments.

The argument is a fact, a phenomenon of social life, events, life situations and life experience, scientific evidence, references to the opinion of scientists, etc.

It is better to provide two arguments in favor of each thesis: 1 argument seems unconvincing, and three arguments can “overload” the presentation in a genre focused on brevity and imagery.

Thus, the essay acquires the following structure (the number of theses and arguments depends on the topic, chosen plan, and the logic of thought development):

  • introduction
  • thesis, arguments
  • thesis, arguments
  • thesis, arguments

When writing an essay, it is important to consider the following points:

  1. The introduction and conclusion should focus attention on the problem (in the introduction, it

is put, and in the conclusion — the opinion of the author is summarized).

  1. Selection of paragraphs, red lines, and installation are necessary

logical connections between paragraphs (this is how the integrity of the work is achieved).

  1. Presentation style: essays are characterized by emotionality, expressiveness, and artistry.

When writing an essay, you need to achieve certain goals. When your story ready, check the following:

  • Did I answer the question?
  • How clearly and precisely did I express my thoughts?
  • Does what I wrote sound natural or are there no mistakes?

Also, make sure that you:

  • Demonstrated their desire to build their career in a certain direction
  • Were “aimed” at building a career in a certain field.

Include in the story one to three qualities, strengths, and characteristic features that will distinguish you from many other candidates.
