When dealing with Apple products, it is ALWAYS best to purchase either directly from Apple, or from an Apple Authorized Reseller. Craigslist, eBay, and any third party reselling service for used devices is not Apple Authorized, so they can not provide you a valid and authentic Proof Of Purchase.
